Sunday School is the local church “organized” and continues to be a strong evangelistic arm.  We believe that “AS the Sunday School goes, so goes the church”, and we envision reaching every soul in our community with the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.  In doing this we also realize the importance of training people to carry out God’s plan.  Our Sunday school ministry consists of the following departments:

• Adult – The focus on the adults is to meet their needs through practical Bible study.

• Young Married – This age group faces a unique set of challenges of life and spiritual growth.  Realizing the changes and needs that develop after marriage, we desire to help young married adults meet these challenges from a Biblical perspective.  Many couples in this age group have an active-duty military spouse.  The hardships of separation because of deployments and war bring to life the great need for building upon the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the one true foundation.

• College and Career Age Singles – Our singles ministry includes a diverse group of young men and women.  The military brings together young adults who come from various parts of the country and different family backgrounds, but they are knit together in Jesus Christ.  Our focus is to help them build their lives through sound biblical teaching.  A building without a proper foundation will not stand, and the same holds true in our Christian lives.

• Teens – This delicate age group deserves the best!  We endeavor to teach them the Bible in a very practical way.  They are forming attitudes, goals, and opinions, so our desire is to reinforce the parents/home and pastoral leadership of the local church.  God is dealing with these young people about service for Him, and we want to maintain this environment through sound, practical, and Scriptural teachings that will enable them to make the right choice for how they will serve God with their lives.

• Elementary – Young minds are trained at this very tender age, and God places an awesome responsibility on our Junior age group teachers.  We strive to instill fundamental truths in these young lives, which will enable them to live for Christ as they grow spiritually, intellectually, and physically.

• Preschool/Nursery – Our babies and toddlers receive the best of care, and you feel the special touch of a mother’s hand in this vital ministry.  Our well-trained nursery and Tot-time staff enable the parents to rest assured that their children are being taught Bible stories and singing songs that honor Christ, because it is important for each person attending Sunday school to lay aside the cares of this world and focus on Christ.  This ministry allows their parents to do that.  We provide this special care because these babies and toddlers are the future of our church and country.
